FRIDAY Sesquicentennial Celebration
RUSSELLVILLE — Main Street Arkansas, Main Street Russellville, the Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce and the city of Russellville will host the Sesquicentennial Celebration at 5 p.m. downtown. The 150thbirthday celebration will include an art walk, a photo exhibit, a mural unveiling, a ribbon cutting, live music, birthday sweets, and fireworks sponsored by Interstate Fireworks. ONGOING Senior Center Bingo
FAIRFIELD BAY — Senior Center Bingo will take place from 10-11:15 a.m. every Tuesday at the Fairfield Bay Senior Center,
385 Dave Creek Parkway. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Arkansas Department of Health guidelines will be followed. There will be limited seating, and reservations are required. Neighbor’s Table

ATU Spring Plant Sale
RUSSELLVILLE — The Arkansas Tech University Department of Agriculture has modified its annual spring plant sale for 2020. Tomato and pepper plants grown by ATU students and faculty are available by the 18-count flat through the Russellville Community Market. Ornamental and landscape bedding plants from the department will be available in the near future. Place orders online at russellville.locallygrown.net/ market/index/37097; then pay for and pick up the plants from 4-8 p.m. each Tuesday at the train depot in downtown Russellville. Look for plants listed as “ATU Agriculture” when browsing the online inventory.
Russellville Park Reopenings
RUSSELLVILLE — The Russellville Recreation and Parks Department has reopened the following parks: the Russellville Dog Park, the Russellville Skate Park, and all tennis and outdoor basketball courts and the community fishing pond at Pleasant View Park. In addition, Hickey Park, Pleasant View Park, Shiloh Park and the Soccer Complex have reopened for practices. Games, scrimmages and tournaments will not be allowed at this time. Bathrooms and playgrounds in Russellville parks will remain closed until further notice. All visitors to the city’s parks are reminded to follow state guidelines in relation to COVID-19. Main Street Morrilton Farmers’ Market

Fourth St., from 5-7 p.m. Tuesdays; Heber Springs First Assembly of God, 1009 W. Searcy St., from 5-7 p.m. Thursdays; Breakin’ Bread Ministries, 714 Scott St., from 5-7 p.m. Fridays; and First United Methodist Church, 1099 W. Pine St., from 5-7 p.m. Saturdays. Other churches, organizations, businesses and volunteers have helped make the dinners possible by donating time and resources.
UPCOMING Build Your Own Droid
CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas Makerspace and Conductor will offer a Build Your Own Droid workshop from 5-7 p.m. June 12 at UCA Makerspace, 250 Donaghey Ave., No. 130. The free class is designed to introduce makers and the community to the world of innovation. Supplies and instruction will be provided by the Makerspace staff. Into the Light Fundraiser
QUITMAN — Margie’s Haven House Inc. will present its third annual Into the Light fundraiser from 6-9 p.m. June 13 at Fawn Hollow, 2075 Goff Road. The event will feature music, dancing, food, wine, special raffled items, live and silent auctions, and a guest speaker. The fundraiser will benefit adults and children who are victims of domestic violence. Tickets are $30 each or $225 for a table for eight. Cruz’n Car Parade
MORRILTON — The Museum of Automobiles will present a car parade in honor of Father’s Day and in appreciation of local health care workers at 10 a.m. June 20. The parade will start at Harris Funeral Home, 1325 Oak St., and go by CHI St. Vincent, as well as local nursing homes, before ending at the Museum of Automobiles. There are no registration fees or judging for those who take part in the parade. All makes and models of custom, vintage and classic cars, as well as motorcycles, are welcome. MORRILTON—The Petit Jean Farmers’ Market will host the Petit Jean Balloon Event on Father’s Day weekend at 1039 Winrock Drive. Animal Protection League Golf Tournament
FAIRFIELD BAY — The Fairfield Bay Animal Protection League Golf Tournament will take place June 27 at the Indian Hills Golf Resort. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The event will include raffle prizes-50/50 drawing, snacks and drinks, and special events for men and women. Lunch will be provided after play by The Little Red Restaurant. The cost of the four-person scramble is $55 per player or $220 per team.
Balloons Over Russellville
RUSSELLVILLE — Balloons Over Russellville has been rescheduled for July 3-5. Arkansas Country Music Awards 2020
MAUMELLE — The Arkansas Country Music Awards will have its annual awards event from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at Maumelle High School, 100 Victory Lane. Recipients of the Arkansas Country Music Awards will be announced during the red-carpet event, which will feature performances and celebrity appearances.
