GRADY — Martin Harvey “Buddy” Smith,

77 of Grady passed away Saturday at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. He was born April 2, 1943 in Pine Bluff to the late, Gayle Martin and Mildred Harvey Smith. He was a graduate of Grady High School, retired from Internatio­nal Paper Company where he was known as “Sweet Pea”, attended Grady United Methodist Church, was a member of the Central Arkansas Corvette Club, where he loved going to many car shows and showing off his car. He was also a retired member of the Grady Fire Department and served on the board of the Grady Cemetery.

He was also preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Shelia and Dan Molock.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Ratterree Smith of Grady, one daughter, Libby Smith Gibson (Greg) of Fayettevil­le, one brother, Frank Smith (Diana) of Indiana, one sister, Cann Carvin (Dan) of Indiana, one granddaugh­ter, Emma Dickson (Chase) of Chicago, Ill., and one grandson, John Gibson of Fayettevil­le, and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday at the Grady Cemetery with Bro. Roger Milligan officiatin­g. There will be no public visitation. HONORARY Pallbearer­s will be Bill Harvey, Steven Harvey, Wayne Isaacs, John Curtis Jackson, Brad Robertson, Ryan Keeter, Justin Keeter, Stevie Edwards, Mark Curry, Tommy Connor and members of the Central Arkansas Corvette Club.
