Police in Georgia are asking authorities and the public in and around Pine Bluff for assistance in locating an Arkansas man wanted in a robbery and homicide that occurred in Conyers on June 15.

According to a news release from the Conyers Police Department in Georgia, Keshone Quantarious Smith, 19, described as a black man of medium complexion who is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 150 pounds, is wanted on charges of felony robbery and felony murder. Police said they believe Smith has returned to Arkansas and is in the Pine Bluff area.

He was last seen in a white Hyundai Elantra with the Arkansas license plate 496 ZDO.

According to a news report in the Rockdale Newton Citizen in Conyers, Smith is believed to have been involved with two other men in the June 15 shooting death of 23-year-old Money White Jr. at the Brookfield Apartments on Briar Creek Court in Conyers, which is about 24 miles east of downtown Atlanta.

Two men, Dacquan Whitson, 18, and Christen West, 19, were arrested in Conyers on June 19.

Police in Georgia said they believe the motive behind the shooting was a robbery that was set up as part of a narcotics transaction, the news report said.

Lt. David De Foor, a spokesman for the Pine Bluff Police Department, confirmed that police are looking for Smith in Pine Bluff.

“We are looking for him, and he is not in custody,” De Foor told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

on Monday. “Our vice and narcotics guys in the detective office are working with Georgia detectives to find him.”

De Foor said that although he had little information about Smith or his possible whereabouts, he confirmed that Smith is known to Pine Bluff police.

“We’ve got reports, nothing very major it looks like, going back to 2015 all the way to 2019,” he said. “He is probably from here, and if he is, he probably came back here to family.”

Lt. Kim Lucas with the Conyers Police Department said police there do believe that Smith is from Pine Bluff.

“We think he does reside there, came from there, and returned to there after our incident,” Lucas told the Democrat-Gazette. “Certainly, there is family in the area, some associates and whatnot, so he may have some friends in the area who are willing to help him out for a little while, but he can’t run forever.”

Police are asking anyone with information on Smith’s whereabouts to contact the

Pine Bluff Police Department, the Conyers Police Department, or Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477 or online at www.CrimeStoppersAtlanta. com.

A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to Smith’s arrest, police said.

Lucas advised that anyone who believes they have seen Smith should call police immediately and not attempt to approach him.

“We believe him to be armed and dangerous, absolutely,” she said.
