90, of Little Rock, formerly of Jonesboro, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock.

Kathryn was born in Jonesboro to Arthur John and Charlsey Murphy Gilmer. She lived in Memphis from 1952-1963 where she worked for Leader Federal and Union Planters Banks.

She lived most of her life in Jonesboro where she worked with her husband, Curtis Brown, in his businesses.

Kathryn was long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro and was presently a member of First United Methodist Church in Little Rock. She enjoyed painting with oils and watercolor­s, sewing, crafts and traveling. For many years Kathryn was a volunteer with the Arkansas State Museum. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Phyllis Brown Edwards and Mark Edwards of Little Rock; and one granddaugh­ter, Kate Edwards of Little Rock.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro with Rev. Judy Rudd officiatin­g. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Jonesboro. Visitation will precede the funeral service from 10-11 a.m., in the Chapel.

The Arkansas Health Department Covid19 guidelines will be in effect for social distancing inside Emerson Chapel for the visitation and funeral service. Face masks must be worn to enter the chapel.
