HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Laurey Dan Tucker passed away June 21, 2020,

on one of the most important days of his life— his 62nd wedding anniversar­y, which also happened to be

Father’s Day. He was known for his integrity, devotion to his family and commitment to his faith and passed away with his loved ones by his side following a brief fight with cancer.

Born in 1936, in El Dorado, Ark. to Floyd and Kathleen Tucker, he graduated from El Dorado High School and obtained degrees in Chemical Engineerin­g and Law from the University of Oklahoma. After serving two years in the U.S. Army in Germany, he returned to the U.S. working as a patent attorney for Phillips Petroleum and Monsanto and then in private practice in Dallas, Texas, for 32 years.

The day following his retirement he moved to Hot Springs Village, Ark., where he-especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, and socializin­g with family and friends. Always active in the churches where he lived, he joined Holy Trinity Episcopal Church where he served in many leadership roles and volunteere­d at the Project Hope Food Bank, HS/HSV Symphony Guild and Arkansas Community Foundation.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother Bill Tucker. He is survived by his wife, Kay, daughters Laurie Diaz (Les), Plano, Texas and Dana Kleine (Joe), Little Rock, grandchild­ren, Caroline Diaz, Daniel Kleine (Morgan), Courtney Lambert (Mark), Mallory Kleine, William Kleine, great grandchild­ren Danny and JoJo Kleine, brother, Ervin Tucker (Becky) and many nieces and nephews.
