WILLARD EDWIN REED,

87, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Arkansas Hospice Ottenheimer Inpatient Center. He was born on June 18,1933 in Bauxite, Arkansas to the late Jesse Waldon Reed and Orean Medlin Reed.

Prior to attending St. Louis University School of Dentistry, Willard served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955, a Korean War Veteran. Willard practiced Dentistry for 33 years before his retirement in 1995.

Willard, who was known for his dry sense of humor and ability to make people laugh, was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the great outdoors. His second home away-from-home was the KY Club in Stuttgart, Ark., where he was a member for 50+ years. He enjoyed working in his “shop,” as he would rather repair the old than purchase something new. He loved tending to his garden; growing a multitude of fresh fruits and vegetables, and always returning home with a bouquet of wildflowers for his wife. But, most importantly, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Agnes V. Reed; daughter, Julie L. Johnson (Jeff) of Little Rock, Ark.; grandchildren, John (Reed) Chandler, Lauren C. Keeton (J.C.), Grace K. Chandler all of Little Rock, Ark.; two great-grandchildren; Emma (Belen) Chandler and William C. Keeton. He is also survived by Anna Johnson, Jill Rainwater, Blake Rainwater, Harper Rainwater, and countless other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Norma Scharosch.

A visitation will be held on July 3, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Pkwy., Little Rock, Ark. 72211. Private burial service will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery on July 4, 2020 at 10 a.m. We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and limiting indoor visitation attendance to 50 people at one time. All attendees must provide and wear their own masks before entering.
