WILLIAM “BILL” DENNIS GUSTIN,

Little Rock, Ark., died peacefully July 8, 2020. He was born November 9, 1926, in Elmira, N.Y., to Cora (Smith) Gustin and Harry T. Gustin. Bill married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Baker, on September 11, 1949, in Horseheads, N.Y.

Bill served his country in the US Navy during WWII as a Signalman 3/c on the USS Champlin in the Pacific Theater. He graduated from Hobart College in 1949, and continued his studies at Wharton School of Finance MBA program. Bill owned an Insurance agency and then served others through his career as Executive Director of various United Way’s in upstate New York.

Bill is survived by his three children, Gary (Maria) Gustin of Largo, Fla., Robert Gustin of Canandaigu­a, N.Y., and Christine (Steve) Martin of Little Rock, Ark.; a sister, Esther G. Morrison of South Bend, Ind.; niece, Deborah Morrison, Ind.; and proud “Grampy” of Tara G. McClung, N.Y., Stephanie Martin, Ark., and Michael Gustin, Tenn.; and Great-Grampy to Mackenzie and Mackayla McClung, N.Y. Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beverly, his mother and father and a host of friends, and four legged friends.

A celebratio­n of Bill’s life will be held at a later date in LR. Interment will be in N.Y., and is private. Memorial contributi­ons can be made to Presbyteri­an Village, 510 Brookside Drive, Little Rock, Ark., 72205; Honor Flight Rochester, Inc.
