Woman arrested in Springdale shooting
SPRINGDALE — Police arrested a woman after shots were fired Sunday night at a man driving near Henryetta Street.
Alexandra Lethiot, 29, of 22233 Butler Ford Road was booked into the Washington County jail Monday, accused of being an accomplice to attempted capital murder. Lethiot was released Tuesday after posting a $10,000 bond.
Officers went to 403 Henryetta St. at 8:30 p.m. to investigate a report of shots being fired, according to a preliminary police report. Officers questioned a man, who wasn’t identified, in a parking lot off McRay Avenue.
The man said he was driving north on Henryetta Street when he stopped because a dark Nissan Altima was sitting crossways in the street, according to the report.
The man said he saw a passenger, whom he identified as Lethiot, hand something to the driver. The driver pointed a gun at him and began shooting, the report said.
The man said he ducked and his vehicle rolled forward, hitting the Nissan and breaking a taillight.
He told police a bullet hit a tire on his car causing it to go flat.
According to the report, there were bullet marks on the hood and window of the man’s vehicle, and officers found two bullet casings and pieces of a broken taillight.
Lt. Jeff Taylor, public information officer for the Springdale Police Department, said Tuesday that no other arrests have been made in the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
