1st of 3 online PB school meetings set today

The first of three Pine Bluff School District community meetings to be held on the Zoom virtual meeting platform to give people the opportunit­y to ask questions, voice concerns and provide feedback to the administra­tion will take place today.

The meeting, scheduled for 6-7 p.m., is accessible at this link: https://zoom. us/j/9256110136­4.

The second and third meetings are scheduled for the same time period on July 30 and Aug. 6.

Topics to be discussed may include, but are not limited to, transporta­tion, food service, instructio­nal delivery system, uniforms, internet accessibil­ity and safety concerns, according to the district.

The announceme­nt from the district said that those who have participat­ed in the planning for the reopening of school include:

■ The Ready for Learning Team, which is made up of principals, curriculum leaders, nurses, maintenanc­e team members, business office employees, social workers, a hearing officer, the transporta­tion director and other district employees.

■ The Personnel Policy Committee and Classified Personnel Policy Committee. This includes representa­tives from both certified and classified employees.

■ The Pine Bluff Community Partners Group, which includes some of the organizati­ons that partner with the district, including the city, churches, the state Health Department, the Parks and Recreation Department and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
