Pet of the week

-

Peluchin means “teddy,” and he is a 1½-year-old cat with a lot of personality. He is affectionate, loving and loves to play with toys. He would be great in a home with dogs, cats or children. Peluchin is currently in a foster home with other cats and dogs. He loves to sit in the window and watch some good old cat TV. He is neutered, feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency negative, and current on all vaccines.

Canine Close-Up

Zoey is a tan female looking for a long-term home where there are no children. She is a 9-year-old small hound mix, weighing in at 25 pounds. She is happy to laze around in the sunshine eating freshly grilled hamburgers. She currently lives with a few other dogs but isn’t really interested in playing with them. She has also lived with dog-friendly cats in the past. Since she is older, she desires an adult-only home. She seems to find her “person” and can be protective over them at times. Zoey takes some time to adjust and open up to new people. Her family moved in April and surrendered her. Her whole life has been upended and she really would like to find someone who can love her and give her a peaceful home with love and attention. Zoey enjoys sitting on the couch with her person and being petted. She likes to perch on the back of the couch like a cat. She likes to bark and enjoys a good scratch. She doesn’t like car rides, dogs who challenge her/young ones who bug her to play, or hectic homes. She would love to find someone who likes to hang around the house and relax in the yard. Zoey is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, housetrained, and will sleep through the night.

Peluchin and friends can be adopted through Rock City Rescue. You can email rockcityrescue@gmail.com with your phone number for a call or request an adoption application. More information is available at rockcityrescue.org.
