Boy arrested, faces gang-rape charges

Little Rock police arrested a teenager Thursday accused of participat­ing in the gang rape of a 17-year-old girl on July 16, according to law enforcemen­t documents.

Aukemian Spencer, 16, was arrested just before 10 p.m. Thursday and charged with felony rape, a report said.

The girl told police that she was sleeping in a friend’s apartment and was awakened when a second, unnamed, 16-year-old began touching her and trying to pull off her shorts, the incident report said.

The teen assailant left, then returned with three others, one identified as Spencer and 19-year-old Nicholas Flowers, as well as an unknown person, according to the report.

The report said that the girl was beaten, and before the suspects left, they pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her if she told the police.

Bills deemed fake, forgery counts filed

A Hot Springs man is charged with 16 felony counts of forgery after a reported shopliftin­g in a Sherwood store Thursday night, according an arrest report.

Police detained Dustin Hanners, 24, at 7:45 p.m. in Academy Sports & Outdoors at 6100 Warden Road, the report said.

Police searched him and found 16 counterfei­t bills, the report said.

Hanners was taken to the Pulaski County jail where is was being held without bail. He is facing 21 charges including felony possession of methamphet­amine, felony furnishing prohibited articles, misdemeano­r possession of drug parapherna­lia and misdemeano­r possession of marijuana.

LR man accused of fleeing, battery

A Little Rock man was arrested Saturday morning after he reportedly fled from police and later struck an officer at the Pulaski County jail, according to a report.

Officers investigat­ing a criminal-mischief report confronted Curtin Nichols, 43, at 6:30 a.m. near Brown Street, the report said. Nichols ran and was detained after a short struggle at 1411 Brown St., the report said.

Once at the jail, Nichols struck an officer in the face, according to the report.

He was being held without bail Saturday night in the county jail, facing charges of felony battery, and misdemeano­r fleeing, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
