BRAVE, 92, of Little Rock died Monday, July 20, 2020.

Bob was born June 30, 1928 in Evanston, Ill., the son of German immigrants George and Anna Brave.

Bob graduated from New Trier High School and Northweste­rn University where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineerin­g in 1956. He went on to become one of the first Executive Directors of the Little Rock Port Authority.

Bob was a decorated Korean War veteran earning several medals including his greatest honor, the Silver Star, for his bravery and valor prior to his capture as a prisoner of war.

He was an avid golfer, loved bass fishing and was a wonderfull­y talented artist who created incredible pieces of furniture which many of his friends and loved ones will cherish for years and pass down as family heirlooms. Bob had such a great sense of humor which he carried with him until the very end. He touched so many and will be remembered and missed by us all.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elizabeth Jane Hinman “Janie” Brave, daughters Nancy Webre (Mark), Jeannie Roberts (Larry), Elizabeth Cortinez (Robert), son Peter Brave, grandchild­ren Peter Webre, Towner Webre, Thomas Roberts (Valerie), Cicely Erwin (Miles), Gordy Brave, Trey Cortinez, Carly Cortinez McNew (Josh), Caleb Cortinez, and great grandchild Adeline McNew.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents George and Anna Brave, his sister Ann Hasselberg, and his son Robert George Brave Jr.

A private family interment will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, but due to Covid there will be no gathering. The family appreciate­s all the prayers, love and support from our wonderful extended family and friends.
