THURSDAY CASA Online Advocate Training
RUSSELLVILLE — CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the 5th Judicial District will hold online training from
8-11:30 a.m. via Zoom. The training will continue over five weeks. Participants will learn how to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children in the courtroom and other settings. Oktoberfest in the Bay Art Walk Participation
FAIRFIELD BAY — Artists are wanted for the Oktoberfest in the Bay Art Walk, set from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 3. Robbie Miller, chairwoman of the event, said artists may rent a 10-by-12-foot booth space for $20 to display and sell their works. Setup will be outside the Fairfield Bay Conference Center. Art forms accepted include oil, watercolor, acrylics, mixed media, pottery, jewelry, collage, sculpture and photography. FAIRFIELD BAY —The Fairfield Bay Library is closed to the public until further notice. However, e-books, audio books and magazines are available online, and modified curbside pickup is available. All requests need to be received by Tuesday so books and audio books can be labeled and ready to go. The limit is six items. At this time, the library is not checking out movies.
