“BOBBIE” VERA FRANCIS SCRIBNER ADAMS,

-

of Little Rock, Ark, and Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on Monday, July 27 at the age of 89.

She was born on July 20, 1931, in Nady, Arkansas, to Ross and Flossie Morgan.¬† Bobbie was the outgoing and feisty life of the party in her family; she loved talking on the phone and catching everyone up on the latest jokes she heard. Bobbie was always an adventurer - and never met a stranger - so she had friends from around the globe. She raised four sons, though many other people claimed her as their second mother as well. She took care of those in need and had a soft spot in her heart for young children, especially mischievous ones. Bobbie was also an entrepreneur, and she was very proud of the successful Subway Sandwich restaurant business she co-founded in Anchorage, Alaska. Bobbie was famous for her practical jokes, as her family can attest, and she never missed the chance to make someone laugh - even if it was at her expense. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of her company.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her son Dennis, her husband Walter Scribner, and her sisters and brothers. She leaves behind three sons, Albert, Steve, and Kenneth Adams; grandchildren Trey, Charlie, Julie, Michael, John, Tracie, Kayleigh, and Jordan Adams; many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandbaby, her sisters-in-law, Virgina Kindervater and Helen Morgan; as well as stepchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and other relatives who perhaps weren’t related but were honored by Bobbie as family.

Due to Covid-19, the family is planning to have a big memorial celebration next spring. There will be a capacity-limited visitation on Friday, July 31 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., and a capacity-limited service on Saturday, August 1 at 11 a.m., both located at Roller Drummond Funeral Home at 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock. A short graveside ceremony will follow the service. Masks will be provided and social distancing will be required. However, please consider your own health and the health of others when deciding if you will attend the services. Bobbie wouldn’t want you to take a risk on her behalf! “In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to Alzheimer’s research through the Alzheimer’s Association at http://act.alz.org/donate.” Online guestbook:www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/drummond.
