RUSSELLVIL­LE — Bobby McKay Edwards,

age 85, of Russellvil­le, died Friday, August 1, 2020, at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock.

He was born October 19, 1934, in Camden to Norman McKay and Willie Catherine Sims Edwards.

He attended high school at Paris and Camden and attended Little Rock University. He retired from General Electric as a district manager of the southeaste­rn region of the United States. He was a member of the Russellvil­le First Baptist Church, the Berean Sunday School Class, a charter member of the Balboa Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village, the American Legion and the Fishers of Men Club. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and a past president of the Illuminati­ng Engineerin­g Society.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Betty Jacqueline Edwards; and a son, Larry McKay Edwards.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Dana Renae and Christophe­r Parent of Maumelle, and Shelia Dianne and Mark Fletcher of Russellvil­le; a sister and brother-in-law, Martha Kay and Lonnie Heft of Paris; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Edwards of Dallas, Texas; five grandchild­ren and spouses, David McKay Powell and Erin Presley of Berea, Ky., Mary Kathryn and Doug Shropshier of Roanoke, Va., Blake McKay Edwards of San Clemente, Calif., Elissa and Brian Romines of Dallas, Texas, and John and Brooke Fletcher of Russellvil­le; and eight great-grandchild­ren.

A private graveside service for the family, will be held in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellvil­le with military honors, with the Rev. Greg Sykes officiatin­g and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellvil­le. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Baptist Children’s Home, 10 Remington Drive, Little Rock, Ark. 72204.
