Vote for Republicans

After watching the political conventions, I’m convinced that the Republican plan is best designed to keep America on a path of peace, prosperity and freedom. It seems the Democrats avoided discussing their plan because it’s full of anti-American socialism. Instead of disclosing their plans, they simply spent four days bashing Trump and America. Biden stated that he wanted to transform America. Transform to what?

Part of this transformation will include Biden’s alliance with self-proclaimed socialist Bernie Sanders. Together they quietly developed a 110-page blueprint for a progressive presidency. Google Biden-Sanders manifesto. His running mate, Kamala Harris, actually has a voting record left of Sanders.

In a recent ABC interview, Biden promised to only raise taxes on those making over $400,000 a year. But what he failed to mention is his plan to repeal the Trump tax cut. I believe that means, pretty much, everyone’s taxes will go up under a Biden presidency.

Biden voted for the NAFTA trade deal that destroyed thousands of American manufacturing companies and millions of jobs. Thankfully, Trump renegotiated a more favorable deal with the new USMCA.

Many Democrats are also calling for defunding the police. Can any sane person actually believe defunding or reducing the funds for police will make us safer? Can you imagine a social worker being called to arbitrate a violent domestic dispute?

I’m voting for Donald J. Trump and other Republicans this November. Let’s improve America instead of transforming it into something none of us will recognize in eight years. TIM IRBY Little Rock
