PLUMERVILLE — On Monday,

-

August 31, 2020, Charles Bradley Thomas, 95, of Plumerville, Ark., went to his Heavenly home with his family standing by his side. Bradley was born on October 28, 1924, in Plumerville, Ark., to John Anderson Thomas and Bess Hawkins Thomas, the youngest of 7 children. In 1947, Bradley married the love of his life, Roberta “Bobbye” Ramer, and together they raised three children by relying on love, hard work and faith in Christ.

Bradley was a lifelong farmer in Plumerville and spent a 30+ year career with the Arkansas Highway Department as a surveyor. His work took him all over the state of Arkansas and he took pride in all of the roads and bridges that he helped build across this great state. Upon retirement, he focused on cattle farming with his sons. Bradley Thomas was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Plumerville and served his Church faithfully in many roles. He was a former Justice of the Peace and a member of the Conway County Quorum Court as well as a Mason. Among his greatest joys in life were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and he perfectly filled the role of “Pappaw” to all of them.

Left to cherish his memory are children, Andrea (John) Holland of Plumerville, Steve (Sarah) Thomas of Old Hickory, and Phil Thomas of Plumerville; grandchildren, Matt (Holly) Krepps of Jasper, Dr. Brett (Katie) Krepps of Fishers, Ind., Michael (Angela) Thomas of Plumerville, Cole (Beth) Thomas of Morrilton, Glen (Kristen) Thomas of Plumerville, and Wesley Thomas of Plumerville; great-grandchildren, Rex French, Noah Krepps, Jack Thomas, Evan Krepps, Aiden Krepps, Abbigail Davidson, Darcy Thomas, and Molly Thomas; and daughter-in-law, Karen Sommers.

Bradley was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Bobbye Thomas, and grandson Brad Thomas. Brothers and sisters Jewell Bane, Afton Thomas, Juanita Patton, Golda “Pet” Walker, Paul Thomas and Marion Thomas as well as numerous nieces and nephews who he adored.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Wilkerson, the staff of Hospice Home Care and Melanie Williams for all of the care that they offered to Bradley during his final days. Most of all, the entire family would like to thank Phil Thomas for his years of caring for his Dad; they were constant companions until the end.

A graveside memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 5, at the Plumerville Cemetery with Bro. Wesley Brown and Bro. Bill Griffith officiating. The family will be accepting condolences and friends at the home of Andrea and John Holland in Plumerville. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
