CONCORD, Calif. — Wilma “Bean” Anderson

104, of Concord California, passed away quietly to her rest on Friday July 31, 2020 in her home. She was born on July 13, 1916 in Clarksvill­e, Ark., to James Alexander Bean and Lora Edna Martin, a pioneering family. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Hanly Gerald McClure “Andy” Anderson, and her parents and siblings, Erla Estella “Bean” Mooney, Ira Ancil Bean, Emma Belle “Bean” Mooney, Glenda Udell “Bean” Rowe and James Edward “Eddie” Bean.

Wilma lived in Clarksvill­e, and surroundin­g area until she moved to California in the 1930s. She worked in Lamar, Ark., as a stenograph­er. In California she worked for Union Oil during WWII, and then in the 1950s she worked for the court system in Contra Costa County. She and Andy traveled extensivel­y throughout the United States and spent winters as snow birds in Yuma, Ariz., for many years. Wilma loved and was devoted to her family and is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the United States. Wilma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

There will be no internment. Cremation will be under the direction of the Neptune Society and a private scattering of ashes.

Wilma was a life-long supporter and patron of the Lone Pine Cemetery in Ark. where her name will be added to her parents’ family marker.
