— William Jesse “Bill” May, age 77 of Arkadelphi­a, died September 23, 2020, at his home. He was born November 25, 1942 in Arkadelphi­a, to George and Inez May. He was a retired master plumber, a member of the Arkadelphi­a Church of Christ, and a veteran of the US Army . He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Marilyn Patterson May; his parents; and one son, Sean Patrick May.

Survivors include one son, Joe and his wife,Teresa May of Alpine; two daughters, Erin May of North Dartmouth, Mass and Molly May and her husband Joseph Price of Hot Springs Village; his brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Judy May of Arkadelphi­a; five grandchild­ren, Alex and her husband, Allen Aultman of Poyen; Shana May of Hot Springs; and Noah, Iris and Henry Price of Hot Springs Village; and two great grandchild­ren, Adelyn and Brooklyn Aultman of Poyen; as well as a niece and nephew and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be from 9am11am Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 11am at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphi­a with Joe May officiatin­g. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Arkadelphi­a church of Christ, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Southern Christian Home or to the charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank his caregivers for their support and hard work: Rouvenda “Cookie” Sims, Leasha Taylor, Jasmine McGraw, Kiasia “Kiki” Robertson and Lencola Robertson.
