During her junior year of 1959, she met Billy Kyser and six months later they were married on June 17, 1960. They moved to Dallas, Texas, where Billy has signed and played a short time with the Dallas Texans (now the KC chiefs) football team. Peggy enrolled at SMU for one semester her senior year.

They returned to Fayetteville where Billy completed pre-dental courses while working as a Razorback student coach. Peggy completed her senior year with a business degree in textile merchandising.

They moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1962 where Peggy worked for Hallmark cards as their project evaluator for two years. She then went to work for Proctor & Gamble for three years as a private secretary for the company manager. In 1964, their daughter Kimberly Lynn was born. Kim is married to Dr. Ken Taylor and they live in Heath, Texas. They have two adult children. Brooks is an accountant in Dallas and Mason is a second-year law student at the University of Texas.

Upon Billy’s graduation from the University of Missouri at Kansas City dental school, they moved to Camden, Arkansas, where Peggy worked one year for the Arkansas Child Welfare Dept. Peggy became active in Junior Auxiliary and teaching Sunday School at First Baptist Church of Camden. She also led Bible studies in their home and mentored many young women. She also owned and operated a very successful home monogram business for several years.

Being an excellent cook and a natural born hostess, she loved having a house full of people. The Kyser’s back door was always open. Her leisure time was filled with playing golf and tennis with many of her friends. She was an excellent seamstress and learned to quilt. She used her talents and loving personality as a volunteer for charity events and always greeted a new neighbor or a friend in need with a home cooked meal.

Billy retired from dentistry in 2004 which allowed them to spend more time with family and travel. In 2006 moved to Bella Vista, Ark., and lived there for eleven years while enjoying golfing, gardening, playing mahjongg and visiting with many friends and neighbors.

Billy and Peggy celebrated 60 blessed years of marriage on June 17, 2020.

Her symptoms had begun a year earlier, but Peggy was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2012. She fought a courageous battle. By the grace of God and her love for Him, she continued to be a witness to others for Christ and for His glory even throughout the long and downward spiral of the disease. She loved the Lord, her family and friends with all her heart. Peggy always had a beautiful smile for everyone and she continued to share that countenance until the day the Lord called her home.

The family would like to thank Elite Hospice and The House of Three for the excellent and attentive care given to Peggy in the last weeks of her life. We would also like to thank Pam Glasser, McKenzie Sales and Breanna Ward for being our angels on earth and for loving our precious Peggy alongside us.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at first Baptist Church of Bentonville Ark.
