SEARCY — Pauline Marie Thomas,

91, of Searcy, went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 17, 2020. She was born June 23, 1929, in Russell, Ark., to James E. Froud and Elsie Sarah Beaver Cooley. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy Thomas; two-year-old son, Roy Ronald Thomas; daughter, Shirley English; brother, Albert Cooley; sisters, Darlene Maddox and Ellen Pearrow.

Pauline graduated from Russell High School and married the love of her life, Roy Thomas in 1947. She loved to garden and had many flower beds, she also loved to cook, sew and visit with family, friends and neighbors, kept detailed records on calendars, telling you weather highs, lows and record temperatur­es for that date. She was quite the historian. Pauline and Roy had his and hers tractors, working together on their farm.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Walker, Ark. She was the Rock of the family, the strongest woman, and the greatest loving mother and grandma anyone could have. She was dearly loved by family, friends, neighbors and everybody who ever met her. For some she was considered a second mom.

She is survived by her son, Jay Thomas of Searcy, Ark.; granddaugh­ter, Michelle Froboese and husband, Scott of Southaven, Miss.; brother, Larry Froud and wife, Alice of Judsonia, Ark.; sister, Phyllis Horn of Judsonia, Ark.; and Grandma to many.

Visitation will be at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside service will be at Carter Cemetery in Russell on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at 3 p.m. Arrangemen­ts entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Searcy. www.powellfune­ralhome.net.
