Dorothy C. “Dottie” Massanelli, age 86, of Rogers, passed away October 20, 2020 in Fayettevil­le. She was born September 24, 1934, in Covington, Ken. to William and Dorothy Walters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Garland “Tim” Massanelli and a daughter in law, Donna Stanford Massanelli. She is survived by her sons Steve (Paula) of Little Rock, Chip (Donna) of North Little Rock, and Randy (Laurie) of Fayettevil­le; sister Linda Walker of Hot Springs Village; brother William (“Bill”) Walters of Memphis, Tenn.; grandchild­ren Mallory Cooper (Jarrod) of Atlanta, Ga., Megan Massanelli of Pittsburg, Penn., Daniel Massanelli of Little Rock, Mary Kate Massanelli of Little Rock, Madelyn Massanelli of Fayettevil­le, Jackson Massanelli of North Little Rock, Parker Massanelli of North Little Rock, and great grandsons Stanford Cooper and Ellis Cooper of Atlanta, Ga.

She was born in Covington, Ken. but spent most of her youth in Lexington. Her family moved to Pine Bluff when she was a teen where she graduated from Pine Bluff High School. She worked for Southweste­rn Bell telephone as a phone operator upon graduation, and until motherhood began in 1955. While raising her children she was a Cub Scout den mother, Little League Baseball volunteer, and volunteer for numerous activities in support of her children and church.

She was a previous member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pine Bluff and was a member of the Altar Society, the Catholic Daughters, and served as a lectern and eucharisti­c minister. While in Pine Bluff she demonstrat­ed a long service of visiting the elderly shut-ins of the church and the Pine Bluff community. She and Tim moved to Little Rock in 2004 and became members of Holy Souls Parish, where she served as a lectern and eucharisti­c minister.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributi­ons be made to the Catholic Relief Services charitable organizati­on (crs.org). The family extends their sincere appreciati­on for the care, compassion and dignity given by the nursing and medical staff at Magnolia Place in Rogers, and the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayettevil­le.
