“JD” JAMES DOYLE DIXON,

age 82, passed away November 17, 2020, after a long struggle with dementia. JD was born on March 15, 1938, to David and Dorthy Dixon of Lonoke, Ark. In high school he was captain of the Lonoke Jack Rabbit’s football team, He went to college at Arkansas Tech University, where he received a regional scholarshi­p in Engineerin­g. He served in the Army Reserve medicine in dentistry. He found himself in later years at Borden Dairy as executive vice president Southern State. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Hot Springs, 32 Masonic Mason Westwood Lodge, Rotary Club, FBLA Phi Beta Lambda and United States Junior Chamber Jaycees. He was a Cub Scout leader for the Ouachita District in Hot Springs. Among his achievemen­ts were Dale Carnegie course management training course, 1955 promotion at Borden Dairy, 1962 sales training achievemen­t award, JD Dixon retail sales manager, but his greatest achievemen­t was Daddy.

JD is survived by his high school sweetheart and lovely wife, Elsie Dixon, and they have two sons, Jeff Dixon (Kitten), Kurt Dixon (Shelli) and a daughter, Dena Peckham (Jim); grandchild­ren, Tare Dixon, grandson, Matthew Dixon, granddaugh­ter, Madison Dixon and great-granddaugh­ter, Cadenice. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Vic Dixon.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, November 20, 2020, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., prior to the service at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Riverwood Memorial Park. Online guestbook: www.rollerfune­ralhomes.com/chenal
