■ Keith Myers Jr., 25, was arrested on several charges including flight from an officer and resisting an officer after a police chase in Terrebonne Parish, La., ended with law enforcemen­t officers jumping into a bayou to save Myers as he tried to swim away from arrest, investigat­ors said.

■ Nile Herrington, 23, was extradited to Clark County, Nev., after he was arrested in Austin, Texas, in connection with the stabbing death of a man who hired Herrington to clean multiple short-term rental properties he owned in Las Vegas, according to police.

■ Jesse Smith Jr., 64, of Tuscumbia, Ala., was arrested in Albany, Ga., and is awaiting extraditio­n to Winnebago County, Ill., where he faces charges in the killing of a 19-year-old woman who vanished in May 1987 after going to a park to wax her car.

■ Tyus Byrd, the former mayor of Parma, Mo., and two other former city officials are facing felony charges after a state audit found more than $115,000 in fraudulent payments and purchases, according to state Auditor Nicole Galloway.

■ Laura Johnson, Thomas Johnson Sr. and Cheryl Ashley, all of Oklahoma City, have pleaded guilty for their roles in a scheme to use fake documents and fictitious lawyers to take ownership of more than a dozen houses without the knowledge of the homeowners, according to federal prosecutor­s.

■ Gene Pears, a police inspector in Western Australia, said that a 55-year-old beachgoer suffered serious injuries on his leg and hand in a shark attack off Cable Beach, a popular tourist spot, and was pulled to safety but later died at the scene.

■ Billy Adams III, 23, a Florida rapper who records under the name Ace NH, was arrested and charged in the shooting deaths of two men in a makeshift recording studio in the Tampa suburb of Lutz, according to Hillsborou­gh County Sheriff Chad Chronister.

■ Adre Baroz, 26, of Sanford, Colo., was arrested at a motel in Gallup, N.M., and faces homicide, assault and kidnapping charges in connection with the skeletal remains of three people found in a remote Colorado town near the New Mexico border, according to the Colorado Bureau of Investigat­ion.

■ Roger Stevens, 68, of Alabama, was convicted by a Morgan County jury of capital murder for the shooting of his ex-wife at a bakery she operated shortly after their divorce became final in 2015.
