Clayton Haynes Horton, age 88, died November 21, 2020 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pine Bluff, Ark. He was born January 31, 1932 in Ethel, Ark., the son of Richard Malcolm and Susie Anna Turner Horton. He had worked for Weyerhaeus­er Paper Mill in Pine Bluff, Ark., for over 35 years before retiring. He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mary Lillian (Lackey) Horton of Pine Bluff; and his children, Betty Baildon of Spring, Texas, Jerry (D.D.) Horton of Little Rock, Rene Horton of Auberry, Calif., and Beth (Jimmy) Seiford of Spring, Texas; four grandchild­ren, Jared Horton of Little Rock, Greg (Kristen) Horton of Little Rock, Emily (Brian) Taylor of Houston, Texas, and Adam Seiford of Los Angeles, Calif.; four great-grandchild­ren, Landen Horton of Little Rock, Cash Horton of Little Rock, Oliver and Sadie Taylor of Houston, Texas. Additional Survivors are brothers, Tommy (Wanda) Horton of Ethel, Jimmy Horton of DeWitt, and sisters Sue (Philip) Noble of Morrilton, Linda Cummings of Carlisle, Judy DePriest of Stuttgart, and Nancy (Ronnie) Posey of Bartlett, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Geraldine Maddox, Nora Watson, Polly Emmons; and brothers, Max Horton and James Horton; son-in-law Christophe­r J. Baildon of Spring, Texas; and two infant great-grandchild­ren.

Due to the pandemic, the family has made the decision for a private burial to be provided by Fuller Hale-South of Pine Bluff with interment in Dewitt Cemetery.
