CABOT — Codi Matthew Jackson,

-

33, of Cabot, went to Heaven on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 and is now walking tall with his beautiful angel wings. Within the same hour he passed away, Codi left a rainbow in a cloudless sky to let his family know he was at peace. He was born on June 5, 1987 in Little Rock to parents Carolyn Pruss and Matt Jackson. An angel from Heaven, Codi touched the lives of everyone he met and changed them for the better. With his bright, beautiful smile and crystal blue eyes, he was brought to Earth by God with the mission to love and inspire the world around him. To know Codi was to love him, and he surely was loved. He loved life, laughing and listening to music, as well as anything involving Marvel Comics. Codi was strong willed, a fighter, and a total flirt with the ladies. He proved every doctor wrong throughout his life, from being able to crawl, then eventually walk, to surpassing the life expectancy given to him at an early age.

Codi will be welcomed into Heaven with open arms by his brothers, David and Hutch Jackson; maternal grandparents, David Pruss Sr. and Patricia Thomas; paternal grandparents, Lucille and G.W. Jackson; uncle, Albert Jackson; and aunt, Susan Pruss.

Those left here on Earth to cherish all the wonderful memories Codi gave include his mother, Carolyn Pruss; father, Matt Jackson; step-mother, Mary Jackson; sisters, Falyn (Kenny) Wilmath, Tami (Jim) Jackson, and Mandi (Brian) Massi; aunts, Ann (David) Brown, Teresa Benton and Kimberly (Paul) Brown; uncles, Woody Jackson, Lee (Katie) Jackson, David (Connie) Pruss Jr., and Michael (Jodi) Pruss; Codi’s beloved caregiver for the last two years, Lance Reed; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family who all adored him. God also hand-picked a guardian angel to help take care of Codi for the last 25 years of his life, Missy (Joe) Terry, who was his best friend and bonus Mom; and to Missy, he was her sunshine, Mr.Man and skittledittles.

Funeral Services will be 4 p.m., Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home (700 N Second St, Cabot, Ark., 72023). Visitation will be 3 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial gifts in Codi’s honor may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Foundation (PO Box 2222, Little Rock, Ark., 72203). Arrangements by Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home, (501) 982-2136.
