CHARLES E. “CHUCK” HARRISON,

75, of Sherwood passed away on Monday, January 4, 202, at his home. He was born in Lebanon, Tenn., to parents Johnny and Lucille Harrison. Chuck enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served his country for 20 years before retiring as a MSgt. He went on to work for the U. S. Postal Service for 17 years as well as another 12 years for U-Haul before finally retiring.

Chuck was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gravel Ridge. Chuck was a loving father who loved spending time with his family, going to the beach, playing golf and drinking beer with his buddies. He loved any food that he did not have to cook himself. His family and friends will all remember his laughter and joking spirit.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Johnny Harrison, Jr. and his sister, Mary Jo Schmidt. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jay E. Harrison (Tina) and Michelle L. Simmons; his grandchild­ren, Loren Hardin (Michael), Jessica Atkinson (Michael) and Blake Harrison (Andrea); and his great-grandchild­ren, Bentley, Brantley, Acelynn, Addilynn and Averie Hardin.

Visitation will be held from 5–7 p.m. on Monday, January 11th, at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., NLR. A private funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12th at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Ave. in Sherwood with the U. S. Air Force Honor Guard providing military honors.
