Grief-counseling meeting set
Whole Nedz Inc. will host a free grief and loss support group meeting at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The session will be held by Zoom teleconference or in person for eight people in following guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Whole Nedz Inc. is located in Suite 250 D at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Building, 211 W. Third Ave. For those unable to attend Saturday, grief support groups will meet every third Saturday, according to a news release.
Guests will include Laverne Tyler, a grief support specialist, and Kendra D. Jackson, a grief and loss support lead specialist. Angela D. Roby is the founder and chief executive officer of Whole Nedz.
“Without a doubt, the year 2020 was filled with an unprecedented number of deaths,” according to the release. “Perhaps you, a family member or friend are experiencing grief from the loss of a loved one. Regardless of when you lost that special person, even if the death did not occur last year, the pain can remain in one’s life for what feels like an eternity.”
The release said the group wants to help participants get through their “difficult and challenging time.”
The program is made possible in part by a grant from the Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation, according to the release.
To attend the grief support meeting in person or by Zoom, registration is required. To register, interested participants may call 870-267-5822 or 870730-1167, ext. 4967, or email wholenedz4you@gmail.com.
