■ Tammy Dabney, 48, faces up to 10 years in prison after she was charged in an attack on Kelsy Wallace, 17, a Baton Rouge restaurant hostess who was punched multiple times in the face and hit with a “wet floor” sign when she tried to enforce covid-19 dining rules.

■ Janet Porzelt, 40, a day care worker at a preschool in the St. Louis area, and her boyfriend Evan Hauserman, 39, were arrested after authoritie­s said Hauserman made two bomb threats to the school because Porzelt did not want to go to work but still wanted to be paid for a full day.

■ Johnathon Lomeli,a former Transporta­tion Security Administra­tion agent who was accused of tricking a traveler into showing her breasts as she went through security at Los Angeles Internatio­nal Airport, was sentenced to 60 days in county jail and two years of probation.

■ Jeff Pyle, a Republican Pennsylvan­ia state representa­tive, apologized after sharing on Facebook an image mocking the appearance of the state’s recently exited health secretary, Dr. Rachel Levine, a transgende­r woman who has been nominated to serve in the Biden administra­tion.

■ Joe DeBold, a falcon expert with the Missouri Department of Conservati­on, said a plan to remove peregrine falcons, which were listed federally as endangered until 1999, from the state’s endangered species list is warranted because of the adequate population of the birds in the state.

■ Leo Santiago Chavez, 20, of Cleveland, Ala., who was convicted of fatally shooting his parents and burying their bodies in a shallow grave, was sentenced to two consecutiv­e life sentences, plus 10 years, and is required to serve 60 years before he can be considered for parole.

■ Alex Kersting, 24, and Monica Deroy, 41, were arrested in the death of 44-year-old Christophe­r Wright, who was stabbed during a fight on a rural road in Lincoln County, Mo.

■ Gregory Allen Jones, 39, who is accused of leading police on a chase in Forsyth, Ga., which prompted schools in the area to be put on lockdown, was captured in Anderson, S.C., after police spotted the stolen SUV Jones was using and followed it, authoritie­s said.

■ Dan Patterson, prosecutin­g attorney in Greene County, Mo., said two federal Drug Enforcemen­t Administra­tion agents will not face charges in the death of Caleb Slay, who was shot in a struggle during a drug investigat­ion.
