True change of heart

-

Sen. Tom Cotton tried to walk back his words regarding his support for a failed president and his fomenting the egregious attack on our nation’s Capitol. I think a lot too little and much too late. Through the last four years,

Mr. Cotton has been a lap dog for

Mr. Trump on everything from destroying the environment to calling for the use of troops against social injustice protesters last summer. Do not try to change your stripes so easily, because Arkansans are not so blind as to not see your guise.

You have had the opportunity to do the right thing again and again, but each time you have made a poor choice. And now, you just want us to look away as you pivot your attentions to what is probably a run for the highest office in the country? Where is your moral compass? I suppose I would suggest that you have none. You have shown your need for attention, even when it is from a despotic fool, and you have served him faithfully throughout his horrific tenure. You are no better than Josh Hawley or Ted Cruz, and I for one will never forget.

If you really want to show a change of heart, or that you have one, may I make a suggestion? Come more to the middle, where honestly most Americans live, and help unite progressive and conservative voices in a centrist moderate party. Help create an America worthy of giving to my children by quieting the seditious voices on the right and the clamor of socialism on the left. If you can’t, you’re just one more hapless deserter from a ship ruled by a treasonous rat.
