Larry Donnell Dennis was born November 10, 1958, to the late David and Joyce Holly Dennis in Pine Bluff, Ark., He departed this life on January 24, 2021. He was employed by the Arkansas Department of Correction­s, Central Maloney, and McDonald’s Corporatio­n.

Larry received his early education in the public schools of Jefferson County and Merrill High School. He grew up loving and playing sports, such as basketball and football, and is remembered by many for his athletic abilities. He also loved to try his hand at cooking and grilling, which are widespread gifts throughout the family. He loved his family. His parents were the heart of his life, along with his brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces. He loved to laugh and talk with his family, as comedy is a great part of the Dennis family legacy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Dennis; and two sisters, Marie Tatum and Trudell Franklin.

His memories will be cherished by two brothers, Deacon Harold Dennis (Andreyetta) and

Elder Ervin Dennis (Pearl); three sisters, Ruby Graves, Earnestine Berry, and Clementine Franklin; nephews; nieces; and a host of cousins, friends, and classmates.

A walk-through visitation is scheduled for Sunday, January 31, from 5-6 p.m. at Christian Way Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 1, at Cypress Memorial Gardens. In compliance with CDC guidelines, everyone is required to wear a mask and social distance.
