91, of North Little Rock, Ark., transition­ed on the 20th of January 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by wife of 66 years; Bertha Lee (Lewis) Thompson, parents Mattie & Lawrence Powers and Willie & Gladys Thompson; daughters- Freddie Dean, Faye Ann and Avis Latreace Thompson; grandson- Broderick Simmons; brothers- Austin, Andrew, Alfred and Henry Thompson; sister-Gladys Smith and son-in-Law; Eddie Mack.

He was a Lifetime member of Mount Ararat Baptist Church, which he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board until his health became an issue. He once served as a Volunteer with Pulaski County Sheriff and a Volunteer Firefighte­r in the McAlmont Community. He was employed by the Veterans Administra­tion

Hospital for 32 years as Cook Supervisor in both Little Rock and North Little Rock. Robert loved the Lord and was very proud to tell anyone he met.

Connie Simmons, and Kenneth Thompson Sr. of North Little Rock, Ark.; brothers -Richard (Nina) Thompson, of Little Rock, Ark., and Lee (Sharon) Harris of St. Louis, Mo.; sister- Mattie (Billy) Watson of Sherwood, Ark., 17 grandchild­ren, 27 great-grandchild­ren, and two great-great grandchild­ren and a host of relatives.
