ROY MITCHELL MEDLEY,

90, of North Little Rock, passed from this life on January 23, 2021. He was born, January 22, 1931, in Tucumcari, New Mexico, to the late Roy A. and Mary Meador Medley. Roy retired from the United States Air Force after serving his country for twenty-three years. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Roy was also employed with the United States Postal Service. He retired from the military and the postal service in 1991. Mr. Medley was stationed in locations such as Guam and Germany during his military career. He loved to sing and could be found tinkering with anything he could find, but his greatest joy was found in spending time with his family. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi Medley in 1999, siblings, Jack Moore, Linda Kunick, Bill Moore, James Medley; Louise Stringer and a great-grandchild. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Dickson Medley; children, Melody (Steve) Loveless and Mary McConnell of Missouri, Reverend Jim (Alyssa) Medley of Little Rock, Tim (Patty) Medley of Texas, Reverend Tommy (Tracy) Medley of Mountain View; stepchildr­en, Gene, Ray, David and Doug Stafford and Pat Hudson. Other survivors include thirty-two grandchild­ren, and forty-nine great-grandchild­ren; siblings, Charles and George Moore, along with a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, January 29, 2021, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Little Rock National Cemetery. State of Arkansas COVID-19 directives: Face coverings required. Maintain social distancing.
