SHERIDAN — Betty Jean Bailey Reed,

78, Sheridan, went to meet her Savior on Monday. She was born on July 11, 1942, in Lincoln County, Ark., to Clyde C. and Eula Bailey. She graduated from Texarkana High School. She married Kenneth D. Reed on June 28, 1963, in Pine Bluff. She was a member of Claud Road Baptist Church, a housewife, and a retired business owner. She was affectiona­tely called “Grammie” by her grandchild­ren and many others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Martha Jane Bailey. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth D. Reed; her four children, Gene Reed of White Hall; Stephanie Bowers (Gary) of Orlando, Fla; Randall Reed (Angela) of White Hall; and Amy McGarrah (Bart) of Sheridan; her nine

grandchild­ren, Keith Reed (Amanda), Jacob Bowers, Abbigail Bowers, MaeLee Reed; Luke Reed; Emma Reed; Davie Mitchell; Harley Mitchell; and Rhyder Reed; and six great-grandchild­ren. She is also survived by her sister, Patsy Little (Neal) of White Hall and her beloved aunt Hazel Hand of Hampton.

Funeral 10 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2021, at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with burial to follow at Center Campground­s Cemetery near Prague.
