■ Maxime Pierre, Little Rock’s deputy director of Parks and Recreation, was named one of the National Recreation and Parks Associatio­n’s 30 Under 30.

■ Brandon C. Grant, a senior at Batesville High School, has received a $1,000 vocal/ choral scholarshi­p, and Tess Monroe, a senior at Cabot High School, has received the $500 vocal/choral scholarshi­p from the Arkansas Chamber Singers.

■ Members of the state’s arts community have been named recipients of the Governor’s Arts Awards. They are Pat Qualls-Taylor of Jonesboro, Arts Community Developmen­t Award; Kai Coggin of Hot Springs, Arts in Education Award; Bylites Inc. of Little Rock, Corporate Sponsorshi­p of the Arts Award; Joe Doster of Huntsville, Folklife Award; Warren Criswell of Benton, Individual Artist

Award: The Bob Bogle Family of Bentonvill­e, Patron Award; Elmer Beard of Hot Springs, Judges Recognitio­n Award; Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet, Trout Fishing in America band, Lifetime Achievemen­t Award.

1) Must be an Arkansas or have graduated from a school in Arkansas.

2) Received an award, scholarshi­p, medal or promotion.

Pageants, deans’ lists, graduation­s or military enlistment­s are not accepted.
