SARAH JANE GUZMAN,
36, of central Arkansas, joined the heavenly choir on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, from complications with multiple lung infections.
Sarah was born in Searcy, Ark., on November 9, 1984. She attended Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts, and graduated from Central High School in Little Rock, Ark., in 2002. She attended Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn., and graduated in 2008 from the University of Arkansas Little Rock with a bachelor of arts in vocal performance.
Sarah leaves behind her husband, Alex Guzman; her children, Layla Jane and Samuel James; mother, Rebecca Kershaw; sisters Elizabeth Vaughn (Stephen), Mary Ibis (Ismail); grandmother, Betty Jane Liddle-Deaver; nieces, Abigail Jane and Lillian Anne Vaughn; nephews, Dawson Gregory and Eren James Ibis; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and many, many dear friends.
Sarah worked with many friends and coworkers from Legacy Termite and Pest Control. She also was the 9:00 worship music leader and the children’s music assistant at Second Presbyterian Church, both in Little Rock, Ark.
Sarah loved her children and they were her first and best hobby. She also enjoyed art, movies, both watching and performing in live theater, and spending time with family.
A private funeral is being held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at Second Presbyterian Church. A recorded version will be available on the church’s website. A graveside service open to the public, is being held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at Roselawn Memorial Park.
