■ Much damage has resulted in all parts of Arkansas from the heavy snowfall Friday and yesterday, according to reports received by the Gazette last night from its correspondents in all parts of the state. One death was attributed indirectly to the storm. A man named Hanson, aged 64, was struck and killed by a Missouri Pacific train at Murta, four miles northwest of Walnut Ridge, yesterday morning. It is believed that the blinding snow prevented his seeing the approaching train. Reports indicate that the snow is general over the state, except in the southern portion. Both Dardanelle and Higden reported a depth of two-feet while at Helena the fall was only two inches.

■ A suit was filed Friday in federal District Court contending that the city ordinance under which the North Little Rock Censor Board and police raided the Joy Twin Theater Wednesday night violated the United States Constitution. Southland Theaters of Arkansas, operator of the “adult” movie theater, filed the suit against the seven members of the Censor Board, Mayor Laman, City Attorney John T. Harmon and Police Chief Reo Bowman. The police and four members of the Censor Board raided the Theater about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on the basis of a decision by the Board members that the movies, “Office Love-In” and “Her Odd Tastes,” were obscene.

■ There are only nine Congressional Gold Medals honoring the students who made history in 1957 when they integrated Little Rock Central High School, and one of the medals now has a permanent home on exhibit in the Clinton Presidential Center. In 2009, the members of the Little Rock Nine collectively donated one of their medals to the William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation in honor of their relationship with President Bill Clinton. On Saturday, the eight surviving members joined Clinton at the opening of a multimedia exhibit honoring the group.
