Mike McCurdy, age 69, of Pine Bluff, died Monday, February 15, 2021. John Michael McCurdy was born November 24, 1951, in Pine Bluff, to the late Richard “Dick” McCurdy and Anne Henry McCurdy.

He was a police officer for the City of Pine Bluff for 20 years, retiring in 1994 with the ra nk of sergeant. He and his wife owned and operated Showdown Pool and Bar on West 28th Ave. for several years.

Mike was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police; a life-time member of the Harley Owners Group (HOG); the Blue Knight Motorcycle Group; and the Arkansas Pool Players Associatio­n. He was also an avid drummer and played in a band for 12 years. He attended Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Williams McCurdy, whom he married on December 4, 1986; a son, Michael Dane McCurdy (Mollie) of Ga.; two daughters, Kathryn Michelle Madison (Antonio) of Sherwood and Meredith Newton Brown (Billy) of Willow Park, Texas; a special daughter that he helped raise, Niki Hooks; three step-sons, Tommy Palmer, Jodie Palmer, and Lance Simmons; a half-brother, Steve McCurdy; a sister, Kathryn Anne McCurdy; and seven grandchild­ren, Michaela McCurdy, Gene Owen Brown, Olivia Brown, Maxwell Brown, A. J. Madison, Mason Madison, and Lil Tony Madison.

There will be a memorial service Wednesday, February 24, 2021, 6 p.m., at Fuller Hale-South Chapel. Visitation will follow the service. All COVID-19 guidelines will be followed. For online condolence­s, please visit FullerFune­rals.com
