CORNING — Ralph M. “Hoss” Crafton,

Jr., 73, of Corning passed away February 18, 2021 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Mr. Crafton was born October 15, 1947 in Corning. He graduated from Corning High School and attended the University of Arkansas in Fayettevil­le. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He worked most of his life in the farming industry and he crafted beautiful handmade furniture. He loved reading, coaching his children’s ball teams, attending their events, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Corning.

On July 10, 1971, he married Rita Brown. They celebrated 49 years of marriage this past July. Other survivors include his children Kristin (Joshua) Hammett of Fayettevil­le and Cameron (Amanda) Crafton of Elm Springs; sisters Betty (Jackie) Thomas of Corning and Shirley (Steve) Wilder of Success; grandchild­ren Isabella, Ava, and Braxton; and mother-in-law Millie Brown of Datto.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph “Snooks” and Glenda (Reeves) Crafton, nephew Bryan Wilder, and father-inlaw Quinn Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Visitation will be Sunday February 21, 2021 from noon to 2 p.m., at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., with Rev. Josh Raspberry officiatin­g. Burial will be at Corning Cemetery.
