WICHITA, Kan. — Linda Lou Pritchard Ashworth

was born in Little Rock, AR on August 13, 1955 to Charles Clifton and Mary Ellen (Hartley) Pritchard. She passed away at home February 12, 2021 in Wichita, Kan.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one niece.

She is survived by two sons, Jason Kyle (Paula) Ashworth and Kevin Russell (Mallory) Ashworth of Wichita, Kan.; three grandchild­ren, Joseph Kyle Ashworth, Nathaniel James Ashworth, MaKena Lee Ashworth; a great-grandson, Quentin Henry Ashworth; a sister, Carolyn (Ralph) Jones; and son, Jeremy; a brother, Larry (Jan) Olsen; and daughter, Laurie (Karl) Schultz.

She was a member of Tyler Road Southern Baptist Church in Wichita, Kan., and before that 47th Street Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Ark. She worshipped Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She taught us to always look to God for answers and to believe in His promises. In her words “I am not worried about cancer at all, My life and going home are completely in God’s hands.”

She graduated in 1973 from Benton High School, Benton, Ark. She studied at Henderson State University and graduated from Baptist Nursing School as a RN in 1984. She worked as a RN over 40 years as floor nurse, OB/GYN nurse, surgical nurse, and caseworker at Baptist Hospital, Little Rock, Ark.; dialysis nurse at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Little Rock, Ark.; floor nurse at Saline Memorial Hospital, Benton, Ark.

She was a gifted and talented lady and shared her skills with anyone. She loved to sing, paint, quilt, sew, crochet, crafts, card games, family games, puzzles, baseball, camp, fish and travel.

Linda was cremated, and her celebratio­n service will be held 3 p.m. Central time, March 6, 2021, at Tyler Road Baptist Church, 571 S Tyler Road, Wichita, Kan. 67209. The family asks that local Covid guidelines be followed.
