BEEBE — James Henry Taylor,

90, of Beebe, died Saturday, February 27, 2021.

He was born September 24, 1930 in McCrory to the late Clarence and Etta Sims Taylor. Mr. Taylor served his country in the United States Army in Korea and Japan during the Korean War. After his enlistment was over, he worked as a carpenter, farmer and in a machine shop. Mr. Taylor enjoyed working with his hands and was always a hard worker, providing for his family in every way. He was a member of Christ Worship Center and enjoyed the non-denominati­onal atmosphere. He loved music and played the guitar and piano. He enjoyed fishing, dominos and was a “ruthless” checkers player. In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Taylor; sisters, Elsie Eddy and Mary Sue Baker and brothers, Grady, Coy and Estel Taylor and Jesse and Jerry Baker.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his children, James Harold “Jim” Taylor (Cindy) of Cabot and Penny Jo Doss (Darrel) of Missouri; sister, Wanda Lee Moore and brother, Doyce Earl Baker, both of Indiana; grandchild­ren, Nathan Taylor (Verenice), Nicholas Dorris and Samantha Wilson and five great grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home with Brother Tom LaFave officiatin­g.
