ROGERS — It is with great sadness that the family of Billy Dean Cochran,

age 79, of Rogers, Ark., announces his passing after a long, hardfought illness on Saturday, February 27, 2021.

Bill was a surveyor for Cooper Homes before starting his own surveying business (Cochran and Associates) which he had for over 30 years. He was instrument­al in the surveying locally, of Bella Vista Village, Hot Springs Village, and Cherokee Village. He traveled to and surveyed many other areas of Arkansas as well.

Bill was a loving and giving person who always did for others, sometimes at the expense of his own well-being.

Bill was born March 18, 1941, in Highland, Ark., the youngest son of Robert Earl Cochran (1903-1989) and Dollie Fletcher Cochran (1901-1992).

He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Marjorie; daughters, Tamara Cochran and Tonya Childers; son, Jason Cochran (Amy); sisters, Earlene Schales of Highland, Ark., and Maxine Smith of Argos, Ark., brother, Leon Cochran (Glenna) of Warrington, Mo. Bill will also be forever missed by his numerous grandchild­ren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Predecease­d by his parents and three brothers, Glen Cochran (1931-1951), James Cochran (infant 1933), and Carlos Earl Cochran (1925-2012).
