Genuine, selfless, hard-working, smart, compassionate, witty and handsome are only a fraction of the words we could use to describe the kind of man that Bill was. He enjoyed working in his yard, attending and serving the church on the board of directors at Christian Assembly of God, being a “papa”, working at the Handi Pantry, spoiling his wife, and spending time with those who were close to him.

If you knew Bill, you knew he had a few collections, ranging from trucks, tools and even straws. He was a man with many tricks and trades but he was most passionate about the Handi Pantry IGA Food Store. He owned and operated the store for 48 years and still continued working there after selling it. He formed many lifelong friendships from his years spent at the store.

Bill was undoubtedly a devoted Christian and served the Lord daily. Through all trials and tribulations, he stood firmly in his faith, setting an example for all those around him. He had an infectious smile with a beaming personality so he didn’t meet many strangers. Everywhere he went you would hear at least one person shout “Hey, Mr. Bill!”. He was humble and exhibited gratitude like no other. To know Bill was to love him because he was truly astonishing.
