HEBER SPRINGS — Emma Jean Ashmore

was born May 20, 1925, to Sim Roane Zinn and Byrdette Short Zinn in Lyon, Miss. She passed away on March 13, 2021, at the age of 95. She was lovingly cared for by Hospice Home Care the last two years of her life. The family would like to give a special thank you to Beverly, Tina and all the staff at Hospice for being so wonderful to our Mom and Grandmothe­r.

Jean was a life long Christian and a member of First United Methodist Church of Heber Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Bandy Ashmore; and her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and George Everitt.

She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Donnie Thomas of Port St. Lucie, Fla. Also, surviving are two sons and their spouses, Raymond Randy Ashmore (Brenda) of Little Rock and Rick Ashmore (JoAnn) of Prairie Grove, Ark.; four grandchild­ren and their spouses, Raymond Roane Ashmore (Kim), Rayni Ashmore Bozynski (Tyler), Patrick Ashmore and Brandy Jean Wright; six great-grandchild­ren, Raymond Riley Ashmore, Savannah Ashmore, Bentley Bozynski, Caitlyn Bozynski, Camilla Jean Wright, Tyler Wright; and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Jean was a homemaker and a wonderful cook! Everyone had their favorite dishes and she was more than willing to make all of them to please each family member. She loved all animals especially her fur babies, she enjoyed watching and feeding her birds each day. She delighted in making Christmas ornaments, gumball trees and stuffed snowmen to share with her children. She loved her family so very much and they will miss her everyday but we know she will be so happy to be reunited with the love of her life, Raymond.

A private family service will be held in Heber Springs, Ark., under the direction of Olmstead Funeral Home. www.olmstead.cc.
