KENNETH (KENNY) LOYE RODGERS

lost his courageous battle with lung cancer on March 21, 2021. Kenny was born on December 14, 1955, to Eleanor and Loye Rodgers. Kenny lived most of his life in Little Rock. For most of his career he worked in industrial maintenanc­e engineerin­g Industrial Electricia­n. Kenny loved to build and fix things. If you knew Kenny you know he loved to tell stories, he may tell you the same one over and over, but you still listened like it was the first time. He loved to travel and cruise every chance he got. He has now embarked on his final journey.

Preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Matthew Jones.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife of almost 28 years, Brenda Verlin Rodgers, whom he met while working and living in Emporia, Kan.; two daughters, Ellen “Michael” Jones and Kendra Rodgers; one son, Jacob Rodgers; grandchild­ren, Christophe­r “Alyssa Rodgers”, Maranda “Austin” Horswell, Katelyn Jones and Fiance’ Michael Scott, Bradlee Jones, Evelyn Rigsby, Jeremy Rodgers, Jessica Jones, Taylor Rodgers and his little Buddy, Keegan Sandlin; great grandsons, David, Bryson, Ethan Rodgers, Brently and Alexander Horswell; one sister, Ruth Ann Moreland, his children by choice, Shelby and Jesse Collins, mother of his two older children, Kathy Pool Rodgers, and a host of other relatives and friends who all love him and will miss him dearly.
