CABOT — Ruth L. Fleenor Parris,

94, of Cabot, born on October 9, 1926, passed from this life on March 19, 2021. Ruth was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Beebe, Arkansas. She worked for many years at Timex Corporation, at Charmelle’s Specialty Dress Shop as part-owner, at multiple clothing stores as an expert seamstress, and assisted her husband of 70 years, Ralph E. Parris, a cattleman.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Fleenor and Little Mae Perkins Fleenor and her husband, Ralph E. Parris. Ruth was also preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Roy Fleenor, Mary McHughes, Effie Mildred Howton, Willie Maude (Billie) Warren, Fannie Mae Fleenor, Hearod Fleenor and Rachel E. McHughes Gibbins. Ruth is survived by her children, Janice (Jan) Rivers (Zeke) of Memphis, and Demetria (Dee) Plummer (Gene) of Carlisle; four grandchildren, Justin Varnadore, Jana Collins, Robyn Hogue and Autumn McGaugh; three step-grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one greatgreat grandchild, numerous family members and a large group of family friends.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday, March 28, 2021, at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home, 700 N. Second St., Cabot, Ark., (501) 843-5816. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, March 29, 2021, at the funeral home with interment to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
