Jimmie Lee Simpson Nichols, age 93, of Pine Bluff, was born on June 16, 1927, in Stuttgart and died on March 24, 2021, with her daughter at her side. She was raised by her grandparen­ts, John and Carrie Robinson, in Pine Bluff.

She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church belonging to the Wedding Ring Class. Mrs. Nichols worked as a secretary at Southweste­rn Bell Telephone Company for 40 years. She belonged to many groups and clubs, the Althea Club, Beta Sigma Phi, Rosie the Riveter, canasta and domino groups. She loved reading.

Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Frank Nichols; her grandparen­ts; her brother, James M Simpson Jr.; and her beloved dog, KC.

Survivors include her daughter, Cara Lee Young (Dick) of Ding Dong, Texas; her precious granddaugh­ters, Jennifer Carrie Smith (Cory) of Crawford, Texas. and Kathryn Joyce Jacobs (Michael) of Frisco, Texas; her wonderful great-grandchild­ren, Aidan, Ella, Evie Smith, and Christophe­r and Caraline Jacobs; her sister-in-law, Bobby (Mrs. Jim) Simpson; and numerous nieces and nephews who all adored her.

The family would like to thank the wonderful caring staff at Trinity Village. They loved their ‘Queen’ with all of their heart.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Lakeside United Methodist Church with Reverend Judy Rudd officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Graceland Cemetery by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. until service time at Lakeside United Methodist Church.
