of Little Rock, Ark., departed this life March 28, 2021. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dominique Rideout-Howard; children, Nehemiah Jermell Howard, Nayla Re’Nea Howard, and Nathaniel Lamont Howard; grandmothe­r, Lula Bell Howard; uncle, Jimmy Howard; great-uncle, John Howard.

He leaves to cherish in his memory his parents, Yvonne Payton and Carol Payton; siblings, Travis Payton (Shanae), Jermell Howard, Leroy Payton, Quentin Payton, Orlando Payton (Ernestine), Carla Payton, and Felena King-Cooley. Evan was employed by Kaufman Lumber Company and continued to work there until the LORD called him home. Evan was a hard worker and gained many friends there. He spent his free past times playing basketball and video games with his friends and loved ones. Evan met the love of his life, Dominique Rideout, in 2007 at Kids Across America, a Christian Camp and they were united in Holy Matrimony on November 25, 2012. From that union three children were born: Nehemiah, Nathaniel, and Nayla. He was a quiet spirit who loved his wife, Granny Beverly, and spending time with his children, (whom he said were the highlight of his life), and really enjoyed taking them to the Jump Park and Chuck E Cheese.

Walk-Through Visitation: Wednesday, 3-6 p.m. at Robinson Mortuary-South and Service, Thursday, 11 a.m. at Greater Second Baptist Church 5615 Geyer Springs Rd., Little Rock, Ark.
