EASELENE BITTLE CORDOVA,

-

wife of Robert “Bob” Cordova united with God’s eternal, universal soul March 19, 2021.

She brought into the world five children, Rebecca M. Cordova, Deborah Grace Cordova Wells (died,2020), wife of Kevin L. Wells, Georgina F. Cordova Young, wife of Joey Young, Philip Bittle Cordova (died 1992), and Boyd Donohue Cordova (died 1963).

Easelene was born March 1, 1936, to Easel W. and Gracie E. (Donohue) Bittle in Cleburne County, Ark. She leaves behind her husband, two surviving daughters, two grandchildren, Audra G. Wells and Alexander N. Wells, children of Deborah and Kevin; also three sisters, Dean Cothren of Rose Bud, Lavelle McGary of Heber Springs, Glenda Koen of Mountain Home, and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Her children were guided by a quiet gentleness and a strong moral character. Besides her gregariousness, Easelene had many talents and abilities; best remembered are as an accomplished business woman, a writer of deeply expressive prose and poetry, and a beautiful operatic-quality soprano voice, last but not least of her abilities, she studiously involved herself in the nutritional field by communicating with well known published experts and made herself a specialist in healthy nutritional diets, educating her family and numerous relatives and friends. She was a deeply religious member of the Primitive Baptist church. She and Bob and the children traveled extensively in the States and overseas, educating themselves and the children. A natural green thumb, she taught citified Bob the do’s and don’ts of horticulture, raising flowers and vegetables every year, Bob, of course, pushing the plough. Our family has lost an irreplaceable mother and wife, but God thought that she had suffered long enough from an unrelenting, incapacitating illness, and He took her to be in His heavenly eternal care to soar with the angels.

The family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to the heroic nurses and staffs of the Woodland Heights assisted living facility, and Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehabilitation facility, both of Little Rock, who gave their utmost in the face of the Covid-19 viral crisis to care for and nurse Easelene during her illness that finally had its way.

Visitation will be held from 1–2 p.m., at Olmstead Funeral Home with a graveside service following at 2 p.m., in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens on Saturday, April 3, 2021. www.olmstead.cc
