BRYANT — Sybil Estelle Kellum,

-

91, of Bryant, departed this life March 23, 2021. She was born March 8, 1930, in Lewisville, Ark.

Sybil was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Mack Kellum; a grandson, Michael Kellum; her parents, Elmer and Minerva; brothers, Hershall, Bob, and James Morse.

She is survived by two children, Ron Kellum (Tina) of New York, N.Y., Keith Kellum (Terry) of Alexander Ark.; four grandchildren, Krista Grafe (Bryan) of Alexander, Ark., Michael P. Kellum of Brownwood, Texas, Zachary Kellum of Gulfport, Miss., Becky Kellum of New York, N.Y.; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

She attended Little Rock (Central) High School and Draughon Business College. While employed as the box office attendant at the Roxy Theater in downtown Little Rock she met Mack, her future husband, who was the projectionist there. They were married January 16, 1947. Before starting a family and becoming a full-time homemaker she was employed as a dental assistant. In 1954, the Kellums moved to North Little Rock where they worked, raised their kids and lent their time to various civic organizations for the next 58 years.

More often than not Sybil was the life of the party. She was friendly, vivacious, and quick to laugh. She had a lifelong passion for music and dance that had been kindled by her experience as a USO hostess during WWII. She was a romantic, a loving mother, and last but not least, a terrific cook. We mourn her loss. She’ll be forever missed.
